Here is how booking the cart works, in plain language: what each package includes, how payment and scheduling work, and what to plan for at your venue. Your proposal and signed agreement always contain the complete terms for your specific event.
Packages and service
- The Candy Cart includes two hours of event time and has a $650 experience fee.
- The Candy Stand includes two hours of event time and has a $325 experience fee.
- Event estimates use the guest count provided for the event. The current $9 per-guest rate plans for eight ounces of candy per guest.
- Additional time is priced by experience and is subject to availability.
- The Candy Cart is a staffed experience. We deliver and set up the Candy Cart, and our candy attendants serve your guests during the event.
- The Candy Stand is self-service. We deliver, set up, and retrieve the stand, and our staff do not remain onsite to monitor or replenish the candy. If you prefer, we can prepackage the candy ahead of time instead of serving from bins.
- Setup happens before your event starts and breakdown happens after your event window ends, so your two hours are all candy time.
- All of your ordered candy is prepared for your event. Once it is gone, additional candy is not guaranteed.
Booking and payment
- A signed agreement and a 50% deposit reserve your date.
- For events booked more than 30 days ahead, the remaining balance is due 30 days before the event.
- For events booked 15 to 30 days ahead, 50% is due at signing and the balance is due 14 days before the event.
- Events booked 14 days or fewer in advance are due in full at signing.
- Applicable sales tax is reflected on your invoice.
Cancellation and rescheduling
- Cancellations received at least 45 days before the event receive a full deposit refund, provided the final balance has not yet become due or been paid.
- Cancellations received fewer than 45 days before the event forfeit the deposit.
- Once the final balance becomes due or is paid, all payments are nonrefundable.
- You may reschedule once at no fee with at least 45 days’ notice, subject to our availability, with the new date falling within 12 months.
Guest count
- Your final guest count and key event details are due 14 days before the event.
- We purchase and prepare candy for your confirmed count, so we cannot guarantee candy or packaging for additional guests we were not told about.
Travel
- Standard pricing applies within 25 miles of the Garden Oaks area of Houston.
- Events farther than 25 miles may have an additional travel fee, disclosed in your proposal before you book.
- We cover our ordinary parking and toll costs.
Venue access
- The full Candy Cart is about 11 feet long, 5.5 feet wide, and 6 feet tall.
- Plan for about 11 × 16 feet of level space, including 10 feet clear on the side where the Cart's doors open.
- The Candy Stand is 7 to 8 feet long, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet tall. Plan for about 8 × 4 feet total, including 2 feet in front for guests to scoop.
- Grass works when it is level, firm, stable, and safely accessible.
- Electrical power is not required.
- The Cart needs a ground-level or ramp route all the way to its spot.
- The Cart cannot use stairs or an elevator. The Stand's pieces can use an elevator; ask us to check a route with stairs.
- The Stand works indoors or outdoors on a level, stable spot.
Weather
- Outdoor events should have a covered or indoor backup location.
- We may ask to relocate or reschedule when weather would make delivery, setup, food service, or retrieval unsafe.
Allergens and safety
- Our candy may contain or come into contact with common allergens, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- Guests with allergies or dietary restrictions should review the available product information before consuming candy.
- As the booking client, you are responsible for supervising children and for sharing relevant allergy and choking information with your guests.
